I basically had a business in a box! Meaning, I had all my worksheets and templates created, I had my operations down pat. But I had no idea as to how to get my first bride and implement my amazing business plan. It was HARD!!! I'm not going to lie. I faked it and failed in many things until I got it right. I took an online course to obtain my Wedding Planning Certification but still I was completely clueless. I remember becoming so frustrated that I decided to look for a mentor. I contacted over 50 wedding planners until I found one that was willing to take me under her wing. She lived clear across the country from me and she wasn't free. But I made the investment and it paid off. She was my person. The one I went to when I was nervous or unsure or faced with a new problem that I didn't know how to address.
