Backstage Bridal: From Inspiration to Reality

One thing we wanted to do for our attendees was give them a variety of inspiration.  We took care to be sure each room has it's own vibe and feel.  From the moment guests walked up to the facade of High Profile Productions, they already knew they were about to embark on a journey unlike any other bridal event they have attended.  We very purposefully chose the venue, the look and the vibe to give brides the experience we had been promising over the last year.  Thanks to our amazing team of vendors, we were able to accomplish that.

"Backstage at the VIP Bridal Workshop" was a very modern and industrial space and it is where we translated the colors of our logo and married them to the color palette of High Profile's white room.

"Backstage at the VIP Bridal Luncheon" was a more organic space, featuring oversized mirrors, wrought iron gates, verdigris urns and potted palms.  I created a "Literary Bohemian" inspiration board for the design team to work from that gelled superbly with the look of High Profile's Courtyard.  Take a look at how perfectly the inspiration board was translated by our amazing team for our lunch space! (You ladies rock!)

High Profile Productions is the amazing location we chose to host Backstage Bridal 2010.

Lights, Cameras, Action!
Let the education begin!  I had the best time in the world hosting the discussions, as many of LA's top vendors provided brides with a few insider secrets to choosing professional vendors and properly planning their wedding.

Mmmm... Macarons by Joie Patisserie (the sea salt and caramel is to DIE for!)

More beautiful models... wait a minute!  Those girls look familiar!  Wanna know why?  They are my beautiful daughters, that's why!  Too soon for them to be in wedding dresses though... give me a moment while I find my tissue (sniff-sniff)...

Backstage Bridal: The Gowns

It has been two days since Backstage Bridal and I am still reeling with the excitement and exhilaration of it all.  It was both informative and beautiful.  This year the event was held at High Profile Productions, a new venue located in Culver City.  It provided the perfect setting for a "backstage" look at the makings of a wedding.  We had an opportunity to provide loads of education, a fabulous meal and a host of incredible vendors offering everything from bachelorette party planning to spa products, wellness and health as well as dance lessons.  However, no bridal event would be complete without gorgeous wedding gowns. On site were two of LA's top wedding gown designers: Amal of Beverly Hills (specializing in creating custom designed couture bridal, bridesmaids and mother of the bride gowns) and Deborah Lindquist (the "Queen of Green" specializing in creating custom designed eco-friendly gowns with amazing corsetry).  The gowns were showcased on an amazing team of beautiful professional models, including the gorgeous Britt Hilgers (follow her on Twitter: @BowieBride).

Check out what you missed:
