Backstage Bridal with a "Green" Edge!

Yes, you heard it right!  We are so incredibly proud to announce that our event will have a  GREEN tinge throughout the day.  Here's what you can expect to find:

1.  We will be featuring the uber-talented Eco-Designer, Deborah Lindquist, whose wonderful gowns, made out of sustainable materials and recycled fabrics, will grace our runway.  Deborah will be on hand to answer your questions about how you too can don an eco-friendly gown on your Big Day!  Click HERE to view our previous post on Deborah and her FAB gowns.

2.  Dana LaRue, The Broke-Ass Bride, will be speaking to you about how you can infuse "green" elements and still be seriously elegant and luxurious.  Dana is now a featured writer in the online magazine, Eco-Beautiful Weddings.  In her words she’ll "be dishing up lean, green and nice advice and inspiration to empower you to have a bad-ass wedding while starting your new chapter of life on the right foot.  Oh, and all while being smart and sassy.  Because its not about how much you spend, its how you spend it, yo!"

3.   Jill Velez of Copper Willow Studios will be joining us on stage to talk about the many uses of paper for your weddings in the session, "More Than Invitations...".  Copper Willow’s stationery is printed on recycled paper approved by either the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Green Seal. Much of the paper is produced in mills using hydroelectricity or wind power, as opposed to machinery that releases potent toxins into the air during production. We use only soy based inks and use earth-friendly solvents and chemicals in production.

4.  Speaking of incredible invitations... Laura Hooper Calligraphy will be providing a lovely little custom-designed product for you to take home and enjoy.  She uses eco-friendly cotton paper for printing letterpress.  If you have ever felt cotton paper, you know how luxurious this is!

5.  Scentsational Soaps will be on site displaying their amazing spa products.  Not only will you be able to check out her incredible soaps but they also offer bath salts, salt glows, lip balms, foot butter, body butter, bath melts, and soap petals, all of which are handmade with natural ingredients.

6.  And lastly,  you will leave Backstage Bridal with an incredible resource.  Our very own Tami Brown host and co-founding LA Wedding Planners has written and created the Backstage Bridal Survival Guide, which is a wedding planning binder chock filled with insider tips, worksheets, checklists and more is printed on 100% recycled paper and provided to you in eco-friendly totes that you can use to carry and store all of your wedding plans.

Even more "green" surprises await you at Backstage Bridal so reserve your ticket today so you won't miss out!  Click HERE to RSVP!

Sneak Peek: Susan Jiminez

Backstage Bridal attendees...do I have a treat for you.  You will have a chance to receive fantastic styling tips from Susan Jiminez of Mary Me Bridal!  Susan is incredibly nice and knows her stuff!

What do you do when you’ve tried on many wedding dresses, but can’t seem to find “The One”? If you’re tall and slim, well you could wear just about anything, and look great. It’s not so easy though when you’re a bit shorter, hourglass shaped, or even pear shaped. Not to mention being over a size 16, now that’s a challenge.  The way to tackle this is by first establishing the best silhouette for your figure.

If you haven’t a clue what wedding dress style works with your body type, or even what body type you are YOU NEED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT

Reserve your seats TODAY!  We are giving away amazing luxury swag bags, raffling incredible items and even serving a fabulous lunch catered by Contemporary Catering.  What are you waiting for?  Click HERE to get your tickets!

{Sneak Peek} Lauryl Lane {artistry. florals. design}

I first heard of Lauryl Lane at a super fun Masquerade Ball I attended in November from Dana LaRue, The Broke Ass Bride, who consequentially raved about Lauryl's work. Of course, I looked Lauryl up as soon as I got to the office the next day and sure enough I nearly fell over with giddiness at her work. Her work is fresh, organic and vintage-inspired...all of the things this planner is fond of.

I knew right then and there I just had to ask her to join me at Backstage Bridal. You absolutely have to come out and meet her. She is incredibly talented and possesses innovative and imaginative ideas to create the wedding floral fantasy that will take your guests breath away!

Just take a look at a few photos showcasing her incredible talent:

The Early Bird Catches the Worm

This saying is an English idiom which basically means that the sooner you start out at something, the greater your chance at success will be.

So let me ask you a question... When you wake up in the morning and you hear your alarm scream for you to wake up, do you lay in your bed making excuses or try to convince yourself to hit that snooze button? If you said yes to this question, you may not be an early bird.  But all is not lost.

Today and everyday this week, you will have an opportunity to redeem yourself by taking advantage of our Early Bird Special pricing before it expires at midnight on Friday, January 15th!

That's right, our Early Bird specials are going, going, going.  But you don't to have be an early riser to be an Early Bird in our books.  No sir-ee Bob!  Because our tickets are available 24 hours a day.  In fact you don't even have to leave your bed if you have a Smartphone or a laptop! How is that for accommodating?

So what are you waiting for?  HEY, I'm talking to you, Mister and Miss Engaged Early Bird... reserve your seats to Backstage Bridal before Janaury 15th and save yourself a little pocket change!  Click here to find fabulous Wedding Planners

Cheers!
